The Seder meal is the centerpiece of Passover, but for many, the preparation is an overwhelming hurdle. At MADA, we are transforming fresh ingredients into the warmth of holiday tradition. We need your hands in the kitchen to ensure everyone in our community can taste the spirit of freedom.

There is a powerful, grounding satisfaction in the craft of cooking. As you chop, sauté, and simmer, you are doing more than following a recipe—you are building a safety net. You will see the immediate transformation of raw ingredients into nourishing meals, providing a tangible sense of accomplishment that resonates long after you leave. No professional culinary background is needed—just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work alongside a team dedicated to feeding the soul of our community.

Volunteers assist with serving meals in the MADA Center cafeteria and help create a warm, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere for our clients. The role includes serving food and interacting with clients in a friendly and hospitable way.

We especially need help during our Sunday and Wednesday meal services:

Lunch service: around 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Volunteers are welcome to arrive a bit earlier to help prepare the serving area.

Supper service: approximately 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

This role is an opportunity to directly support members of our community and help ensure everyone feels welcomed and treated with dignity while receiving a meal.

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate individual to join our community outreach team as a client delivery support. In this role you will accompany our volunteer driver to assist with delivering essential items - Meals à Partager and Shabbat To Share boxes to elderly clients in our community.

Meals à Partager provides ready-made kosher meals—free of charge—to seniors, individuals facing challenges, and families caring for vulnerable members. These nourishing meals, tailored to dietary needs like diabetic, low fat, low sodium, and low cholesterol options, help simplify daily life and ensure no one goes without.

Shabbat to Share enhances the joy of Shabbat by delivering kosher meals to families, allowing them to celebrate with dignity and comfort.

Through MADA’s Passover Seder Box program, we help ensure that every family has the essential items needed to celebrate the Seder with dignity.

By volunteering as a delivery driver, you become the final link in a chain of kindness. After weeks of preparation and packing, these Seder boxes are ready to reach the families who need them. Your delivery brings not only food, but also warmth, dignity, and the feeling that someone in the community cares.

Each visit is simple but meaningful. A short delivery can help make a family’s Passover possible.

You are welcome to bring a child, grandchild, or family member with you and share this meaningful experience together. It is a beautiful opportunity to teach the next generation about the spirit of chesed and community.

Every month, thousands of families count on MADA for boxes filled with food and household essentials.
But some — seniors living alone, families without transportation, or people with limited mobility — can’t pick them up themselves.

That’s where you come in.

Join the Chez Makolet Delivery Team and use your strength to deliver 2–4 heavy boxes per household, depending on the family’s size and needs. Each delivery brings food, dignity, and hope right to their doorstep.

The most vulnerable members of our community are counting on someone strong and caring enough to lift the boxes and lift their spirits.

Pick-up times: 11:30 AM–12:30 PM or 2:30 PM–4:00 PM.
Friday is a short day. No deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays.

To make your experience smooth, please register at least 1–2 days in advance so your route and boxes are packed and ready when you arrive — no waiting, just pick up and deliver.

The boxes are heavy, but what you carry is hope.
Even one route is a powerful act of chesed that helps a family get through the month.
